About the job
Empower toddlers to unlock their potential!
At Guidepost Montessori, our Lead Young Toddler Guides cultivate nurturing, intentional environments that foster curiosity, autonomy, and self-confidence in children every day.
If you are dedicated to early childhood education and ready to steer a classroom designed for exploration and self-discovery, this role presents a chance to make a significant difference.
Your Role
As a Young Toddler Lead Guide, you will oversee a diverse young toddler classroom in a Montessori setting, carefully designed to enhance children's growth during their crucial developmental phase.
Montessori guides create inviting, organized environments that encourage exploration and promote independence. Through attentive observation, tailored lessons, and respectful mentorship, you will assist each child in developing language skills, coordination, self-regulation, and confidence.
Your leadership will inspire toddlers to explore freely, make their own choices, and take pride in their accomplishments, laying a solid foundation for lifelong learning.
What You’ll Do
- Closely observe each child to understand and facilitate their physical, emotional, and cognitive development.
- Prepare and uphold a beautiful, organized classroom that encourages focus, independence, and exploration.
- Promote independence by encouraging toddlers to “do it themselves.”
- Deliver lessons in practical life skills, language development, and social grace.
- Build warm, trusting relationships with both children and their families.
- Engage with parents to collaboratively support each child's growth.
- Lead classroom routines and work with team members to create a respectful, joyful community.
