In these dire situations, communication often falters, leaving families without knowledge of their loved ones’ whereabouts. Understanding the fate of family members who have been left behind or who have migrated is crucial.SUMMARY OF ROLEThe Programme Support Officer plays a vital role in providing administrative and operational support to the Irish Red Cross Restoring Family Links team. This role is instrumental in aiding the RFL Programme Manager in ensuring precise case management, effective service coordination, and the seamless day-to-day operations of the IRC’s RFL activities, all while adhering to organizational policies and humanitarian principles. This position demands a combination of technical proficiency and the ability to compassionately engage with distressed clients, following best practices in protection.ROLE RESPONSIBILITIESOffer administrative and coordination support for IRC Restoring Family Links services under the guidance of the RFL Programme Manager.Ensure the maintenance of accurate and confidential case files, complying with Irish Red Cross Policies, data protection, and safeguarding standards.Assist with the registration, tracking, and follow-up of RFL cases, including necessary documentation and correspondence.Contribute to the preparation of reports, including statistical data for donors or internal program updates when required.Assist in scheduling meetings and preparing agendas or other documents, ensuring follow-up on action points as needed.Support the filing, record keeping, and archiving systems for RFL cases.Manage the RFL email inbox, addressing general inquiries or referring them accordingly.
