This role adheres strictly to the organization’s Code of Ethics, Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all applicable policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.As a clinically competent, registered professional nurse, you will prescribe, delegate, and coordinate nursing care for acutely ill patients using the nursing process, which includes assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation. You will engage effectively with patients, their families, and the healthcare team while upholding the ANA standards of professional nursing practice. Responsibilities also include phone triage, delivering abnormal test results, and providing corresponding care instructions.Key Responsibilities:Deliver comprehensive patient care, employing evidence-based practices to enhance patient safety and minimize medical errors.Adhere to the six rights of medication administration, ensuring medications are given appropriately based on patient age and clinical condition.Utilize critical thinking to articulate the rationale behind clinical decisions.Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate patients' physical, psychosocial, rehabilitation, safety, learning, spiritual, cultural, age-specific needs, and self-care requirements.Identify patient care needs, problems, and variances, integrating these into the care plan.Recognize the learning needs, abilities, preferences, and readiness of patients; establish support systems, coping mechanisms, and barriers to learning.Clearly explain procedures, therapies, and treatments to patients and families, documenting their responses to educational efforts.Utilize appropriate resources for patient education.Involve patients and families in the care plan development process.Create, implement, and regularly update individualized care plans addressing identified patient needs, including nursing, education, continuum of care, and discharge planning.Regularly assess and manage pain, utilizing effective pain management techniques while educating patients and families on pain control.Leverage quality improvement data to drive changes in nursing practices and healthcare delivery.Engage in shared governance, committee activities, and departmental projects.
