Augsburg University's Department of Social Work is actively seeking applications for adjunct faculty roles to instruct undergraduate, graduate, and LADC program courses starting in 2026.
This recruitment aims to create a talent pool of instructors available for potential openings throughout the Spring, Summer, or Fall semesters of 2026. Selected applicants may be engaged as needed throughout the academic year.
Course offerings will differ by term. Undergraduate classes are scheduled during the day on Tuesdays and Thursdays, while graduate courses are delivered in a hybrid format that combines in-person sessions with asynchronous online activities. Graduate classes are typically held on weeknights or weekends. Instructors are responsible for teaching, grading, addressing student inquiries via email, maintaining regular office hours, providing updates on student progress, and collaborating closely with the course coordinator. A detailed course syllabus including calendar, textbook, homework selection, sample activities, and exams, along with shared office space, will generally be provided. Each course demands approximately 12-15 hours of commitment per week for a duration of 15-16 weeks.
