This post-BSN program is dedicated to equipping nurses for the advanced practice role of Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) through comprehensive training that emphasizes integrative primary care across diverse cultures and settings. Graduates will qualify for FNP certification through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) and the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).The ideal candidates will exhibit a strong commitment to teaching and mentoring within the DNP-FNP track. Responsibilities of this full-time role (11-month appointment, 0.75 FTE) will encompass teaching, academic advising, supervising student DNP projects, and serving the university community. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in providing care to diverse populations in primary, integrative, or functional medicine settings. Courses are primarily scheduled during weekdays, with occasional evening sessions, and will employ a hybrid model that includes online synchronous and asynchronous components, along with in-person meetings (typically 4-6 times per semester). As a vital member of the Department of Nursing, this position entails participation in faculty meetings, curriculum development, evaluation of program outcomes, and ensuring compliance with accreditation standards.All faculty members are granted time for professional practice or scholarship, reflecting our commitment to integrating clinical practice and/or research with teaching.
