Role overview The Robotics and Automation Technician plays a key role in supporting the daily operations and growth of Intrinsic's advanced robotics lab. This position focuses on hands-on work as part of the 'Factory of the Future' initiative. Core tasks include assembling mechanical and electrical systems, building automation cells, and assisting with lab setups. The technician also manages facility maintenance, inventory logistics, and organizational duties such as shipping, sourcing, and purchasing. Flexibility and a willingness to learn in a changing environment are important in this role. What you will do Collaborate with engineers, product managers, software developers, and researchers to design, maintain, and improve electronic manufacturing automation systems from concept through execution. Assemble mechanical and electrical components for rapid prototyping and deployment of robotic automation workcells. Test and troubleshoot automation cells, ensuring hardware reliability and resolving technical issues as they arise. Oversee daily lab operations, including maintenance, inventory management, and hardware-related office tasks such as shipping, sourcing, and purchasing. Read and interpret hardware specifications and schematics to assemble and wire industrial control panels, robotic peripherals, and HMI/PLC hardware. Evaluate and integrate new technology products into automation workcells. Document and communicate progress and findings with the team.
