Role Overview
The Trade Director will shape the marketplace for live events at webook. This role builds the trading function from the ground up, setting strategy, assembling a team, and creating frameworks for commercial success. The Trade Director owns the P&L, sets the commercial tempo, and reports directly to the Chief Commercial Officer.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and execute the e-commerce trading calendar, driving revenue-generating activities across the webook.com marketplace.
- Set and track commercial KPIs, including revenue, conversion rate, average order value (AOV), promotional ROI, inventory sell-through, and repeat purchase rate.
- Create pricing and promotions frameworks, including discounts, bundles, and incentive structures, and define how these are applied and evaluated.
- Build and lead the Trading Team by hiring, onboarding, and developing three direct reports.
- Work with the Marketing team to align trading activities with acquisition campaigns and seasonal patterns.
- Collaborate with Product to prioritize commercial needs in the platform roadmap.
- Coordinate with Operations to turn supply insights into actionable trading plans.
- Deliver weekly and monthly trading performance reports to the CCO, including analysis and strategic recommendations.
- Promote a culture of experimentation, using structured A/B testing for offers, pricing, and merchandising.
