About the Role
We are on the lookout for a creative and skilled Eyewear Designer to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate should possess a passion for designing luxury fashion eyewear that harmoniously fuses sophisticated aesthetics, cutting-edge materials, and an exceptional user experience. This position requires a refined sense of style, a solid understanding of eyewear manufacturing, and the capability to transform trends, color/material/finish (CMF) direction, and brand essence into unique, production-ready designs. You will play a vital role in developing collections that enhance daily wear while honoring traditional eyewear craftsmanship and contemporary design excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Concept Development
- Develop innovative eyewear designs and CMF concepts that resonate with our brand’s aesthetic and fashion trajectory.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including engineers, CMF experts, product managers, and modelers, to explore, develop, and refine frame designs, silhouettes, and material strategies.
Design Execution
- Produce detailed sketches and technical drawings to visualize and communicate design concepts effectively.
- Create prototypes and color/material mockups to assess proportions, fit, and visual quality.
- Present design ideas to stakeholders and integrate feedback to enhance frames, patterns, and CMF direction.
User-Centered Design
- Conduct fit studies, wear tests, and ergonomic assessments to ensure frames are comfortable, balanced, and suitable for prolonged daily use.
- Refine designs based on user insights, testing feedback, and internal evaluations to optimize comfort, usability, and visual appeal.
- Maintain a keen focus on nose bridge fit, temple comfort, weight distribution, and overall human factors.
