Role Overview:
Northwood Space is in search of a dynamic Director of USG Growth in Defense to spearhead our growth initiatives among U. S. military space clientele. This leadership role will be crucial in shaping our strategies to support critical national security missions. You will engage with priority military space accounts, foster robust relationships within the defense space ecosystem, and collaborate strategically with leadership, product, engineering, and mission teams to expand our market presence.
This position focuses on U. S. military space organizations and mission partners, emphasizing U. S. Space Force clients including SSC, Space RCO, and other vital stakeholders, as well as Combatant Commands and joint organizations. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of military space priorities and acquisition processes, driving not only new business opportunities but also influencing investment and delivery strategies aligned with mission objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead comprehensive business development initiatives targeting U. S. defense space customers, from initial engagement through contract award and subsequent growth.
Cultivate and sustain relationships with key stakeholders across defense space organizations, including operators, program managers, acquisition officials, and technical leaders.
Design and implement account and campaign strategies for key customers and mission areas, ensuring alignment with Northwood’s capabilities.
Identify and pursue opportunities in critical areas such as Space Superiority, Space Sensing, and Space Data Networking, aligning with defense priorities.
Work closely with product, engineering, and mission management teams to translate customer needs into effective strategies and successful program execution.
