About the Position
We are seeking a seasoned Senior Credit Risk Analysis Consultant who will act as a subject matter expert in various financial products and principles relevant to the private sector, requiring minimal supervision. Your primary role will involve conducting credit risk assessments for proposed financial transactions and assisting in the research and reporting on the economic and political climates of foreign countries. You will also manage the review of financing applications and draft approval documents as necessary. This position is based in our Washington, DC office.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive credit reviews, analyses, and processing (80%)
- Collect and evaluate due diligence documents from clients, delivering constructive feedback to origination officers.
- Analyze financial statements from partners, borrowers, and sponsors, or prepare requests for internal stakeholders.
- Assist or lead the preparation of financing approval papers, ensuring data is accurately formatted.
- Review newly submitted financing applications, identify parties requiring Character Risk Due Diligence (CRDD), and summarize findings. Travel may be required to support transactions as needed.
- Conduct sector-specific and country research (20%)
- Investigate and summarize the economic and political environment in countries relevant to proposed projects.
- Analyze and summarize the industrial sectors pertinent to the proposed projects.
