Job Summary:
Panelmatic Inc. is looking for a dedicated Fabrication and Assembly Technician to join our first shift production team. In this role, you will interpret shop drawings to drill, cut, grind, assemble, and install components onto control panels, ensuring adherence to shop standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints and layout drawings accurately.
- Determine device locations on stainless and mild steel enclosures.
- Utilize plasma cutters, jigsaws, grinders, drills, and hole saws for precise cutouts.
- Employ hand and power tools for layout, measurement, drilling, and tapping of steel plates.
- Install din rails, wire ducts, terminal blocks, equipment, and nameplates.
- Maintain high-quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure a clean and safe working environment.
- Complete tasks within the allocated time frame for each project.
- Support project schedules and timelines by performing additional duties as necessary.
- Occasional customer site work may be required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- A minimum of one year of experience with metalworking tools is essential.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent analytical, observational, and active listening abilities.
- Reliability and punctuality are a must.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Must have US work authorization without the need for sponsorship.
- Ability to pass a physical, drug, driving, and background check.
- Physical capability to push, pull, and lift over 50 lbs.
- Ability to stoop, bend, sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
- Exceptional manual dexterity is required.
