The Human Resources Manager plays a pivotal role in driving employee engagement and fostering a positive workplace culture within a fast-paced and dynamic environment. This position is responsible for leading initiatives related to employee relations, labor relations, compliance, performance management, training, and effective communication across the organization. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with various departments and cultivate strong relationships with employees at all levels.
Key Responsibilities:
Employee Relations:
- Investigate and resolve employee concerns efficiently and effectively.
- Engage with employees and managers to gather pertinent information on various issues.
- Ensure thorough documentation of employee relations concerns.
- Create and monitor performance improvement plans to address employee performance issues.
- Facilitate employee disciplinary and termination meetings.
- Communicate MLB Network policies and procedures to employees and managers; analyze existing policies and recommend updates as necessary.
- Provide coaching and guidance to managers and supervisors on best practices in employee relations.
- Consult with legal counsel to ensure compliance with employment laws.
Compliance / Policy Management:
- Review and revise policies to align with business needs and legal requirements.
- Maintain and update Employee Handbooks to ensure compliance and relevance.
- Draft new policies as necessary to ensure clarity and appropriateness.
- Manage essential employment-related legal documentation.
Labor Relations:
- Stay informed about current labor relations laws and regulations.
- Investigate labor relations issues to ensure timely resolutions.
- Educate employees on effective labor relations practices.
- Provide guidance to managers on labor issue resolution.
- Coordinate training sessions with external legal advisors.
- Consult legal counsel to ensure adherence to labor laws.
Communication:
- Draft and deliver clear and impactful communications to the organization on matters affecting employees.
