Role overview

The IT & Cybersecurity Manager leads the management and security of knok’s IT infrastructure. This position is responsible for ensuring that all systems remain reliable, scalable, and secure, while meeting regulatory requirements. Based in Matosinhos, Porto District, Portugal, the manager oversees the Information Security Management System (ISMS), promotes security best practices, and helps build a secure foundation for business growth.

Main responsibilities

  • Oversee IT infrastructure, networks, and systems to maintain performance, scalability, and security.
  • Develop, implement, and refine IT and cybersecurity policies, procedures, and controls.
  • Maintain and adapt the ISMS to comply with regulatory standards, including ISO requirements.
  • Identify, assess, and address security risks and vulnerabilities across the organization.
  • Monitor IT and security performance by setting and tracking KPIs and metrics.
  • Serve as the main contact for cybersecurity topics, collaborating with internal teams and external partners.
  • Manage relationships with vendors and service providers to uphold compliance and security standards.
  • Oversee incident response processes to resolve IT and security issues efficiently.
  • Advise teams on IT best practices and promote cybersecurity awareness throughout the company.
  • Contribute to strategic decisions regarding IT architecture and future projects.
