Zifo is actively seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager to lead a strategic multi-year initiative for a prestigious client in the Saratoga Springs, NY area. The successful candidate will be pivotal in planning, coordinating, and executing projects across both IT and Research & Development teams. This role will involve managing several concurrent projects aimed at establishing and operating a new laboratory facility in the Saratoga Springs area.
The position necessitates collaboration with various technical and scientific digital enablement teams including:
- Core IT (e.g., networking, conferencing & collaboration, MDF/IDF)
- Applications (e.g., ELN/LIMS/Data Capture/Registration systems)
- Automation (e.g., high-throughput screening/workcell assay automation)
Key responsibilities include:
- Project Management:
- Daily planning and coordination of project deliverables and team activities, serving as the primary contact for communication.
- Define project scope and deliverables in collaboration with project champions and key stakeholders.
- Oversee documentation, communication, and development of risk mitigation strategies related to schedule, scope, resources, budget, and quality.
- Conduct startup meetings with project teams to delineate roles and responsibilities.
- Manage project execution utilizing both waterfall and SAFE agile methodologies.
- Ensure project adherence to schedules, scopes, and budgets while managing interdependencies with other initiatives.
- Facilitate effective change management processes.
Project Governance and Steering:
- Prepare and present project status updates to various committees, including the Steering Committee.
- Timely escalation of issues requiring resolution to stakeholders and the Steering Committee.
- Maintain adherence to the company's quality management system.
- Develop success metrics and perform project value assessments.
- Prepare project documentation according to established standards and guidelines (including design decisions, risk logs, stakeholder approvals, and change management guides).
