The Electronic Warfare and Novel Capabilities Group (EWNC) at Systems Technology Research is at the forefront of developing and implementing cutting-edge signal processing algorithms and prototype systems for next-generation radar and electronic warfare technologies.

Your Role:

In the position of Lead Algorithm and Signal Processing Researcher, you will have the chance to craft advanced algorithms and methodologies for sense-making and sensor decision-making, encompassing signal detection and classification, electronic support measures, offensive and defensive tactics, cognitive electronic warfare, and beyond.

Your Responsibilities Include:

  • Develop and implement innovative signal processing and machine learning techniques to address complex radar and RF sensing and counter-sensing challenges.
  • Create and execute models and simulations for advanced RF systems.
  • Oversee small teams and manage projects effectively.
  • Contribute to business development and proposal writing efforts.
  • Collaborate with diverse teams to integrate groundbreaking capabilities into prototype systems.

Who You Are:

  • You must be eligible for a Top Secret security clearance, which requires U. S. citizenship as mandated by the U. S. Government.
  • You hold a BS, MS, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Physics, or a related technical field.
  • You possess 5-7+ years of relevant work experience, depending on your educational background (BS +7 years or MS +5 years).
  • Your experience includes two or more of the following areas: RF/radar signal processing, optimization, waveform design, electronic warfare, machine learning, adaptive signal processing, AI/ML algorithm development, algorithm development, test and evaluation, model and simulation, systems engineering, test engineering, radar modeling, or RF systems prototyping.
  • You have proficiency in scientific or mathematical programming languages, including MATLAB, Python, and C/C++.
  • You possess strong mathematical abilities, troubleshooting skills, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Possession of an active security clearance is a plus.
