Role Summary

As a member of the Starlight team, you will play a crucial role in enhancing space solar power solutions that align with Starpath’s mission and contribute to the broader space economy. Our focus is on manufacturing the most cost-effective and high-performance space solar technology, which will energize the majority of new satellites developed on Earth, alongside all of Starpath’s equipment destined for the Moon and Mars.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary design authority for Starlight Solar products

  • Develop the solar engineering organization to support rapid business growth

  • Convert customer requirements and product strategy into actionable engineering plans

  • Oversee all technical aspects of solar product development, reliability, and manufacturing

  • Collaborate with customer-facing teams to ensure clarity in technical communications

  • Foster a culture of excellence throughout the engineering organization

  • Serve as the final approver for major development, qualification, and manufacturing processes.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical, Aerospace, or a related engineering discipline

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in developing high-reliability hardware, preferably in the aerospace sector

  • Solid grounding in mechanical principles, including structures, packaging, and material interactions

  • Ability to work effectively across multiple engineering disciplines

  • Familiarity with space environmental testing standards (e.g., NASA GEVS, ECSS, etc.)

  • Exceptional technical communication skills and a collaborative mindset
