THE ROLE
The Pure Engineering Team is dedicated to creating the most advanced, high-performance product portfolio, tailored for the most critical applications. Although we provide hardware storage solutions, over 90% of our engineering team consists of software engineers. WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Lead the planning, execution, and debugging of hardware design and qualification projects.
- Assist in troubleshooting testbeds and handling hardware-related escalations, both internally and externally.
- Engage in all stages of the product development lifecycle, including design, documentation, eDVT, FA, and supporting custom hardware designs.
- Define, implement, and automate hardware validation and qualification testing procedures.
- Possess a strong understanding of X86 architecture with a proven design history.
- Have solid knowledge of major bus technologies including SAS/SATA, PCIe, UPI, and serial buses (I2C, I3C, SPI, SVID, etc.).
- Analyze high-speed signals with proficiency in high-speed oscilloscopes and bus analyzers for trace capture and analysis.
- Conduct analysis and review of device and system-level power regulators, PWM selection & design, cooling, and electrical functionality.
- Enhance design and qualification processes to improve efficiency, consistency, and product robustness.
- Set up and execute stress tests using industry-standard tools such as PTU, Mprime, Iometer, LinPack, etc.
- Qualify CPU subsystems, including DDR4/5 memory, PCIe cards (Fiber Channel, ISCSI, SAS, etc.), PCH chipsets, BMC, LOM, and peripherals.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, operations, manufacturing testing, and support teams to launch new storage subsystems into production.
- Conduct failure and root cause analysis activities to drive improvements.
