We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Process Engineer to join our dynamic team at SI Group, reporting directly to the Director of Global Process Development. This pivotal role involves the design and specification of new and existing product, plant, and process projects, including calculations, flow diagrams, mass and energy balances, and equipment specifications, all in compliance with company standards and legal regulations. The Lead Process Engineer will also implement and maintain the SIG Quality System, ensuring excellence in our processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Safety/Health/Environment:

• Uphold personal and team safety at all times while adhering to applicable environmental, health, and safety regulations. Engage in safety audits, incident investigations, and PHA/HAZOP studies as required. Maintain compliance with company and statutory EHS standards.

• Complete all mandatory safety training promptly and participate in safety inspections, project management teams, and Six Sigma initiatives.

Process Development:

• Lead the conceptual design and economic evaluation of processes and modifications, collaborating with R&D personnel to facilitate the transition of projects from laboratory to production.

• Develop equipment performance specifications and provide heat and material balances for processes or modifications.

• Conduct pilot plant testing and evaluate alternative raw materials.

• Supervise the start-up of new processes or modifications and serve as a technical lead for project design and implementation.

• Maintain relationships with equipment suppliers and specialists, ensuring that operational standards and shareholder expectations are met.
