Cambridge Isotope Laboratories, Inc. (CIL) is actively seeking a skilled Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician to join our team at our Tewksbury, MA facility. The Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician will be responsible for operating, inspecting, and maintaining our facilities, utilities, and automated systems across both the Andover, MA and Tewksbury, MA sites. This role is crucial in ensuring that equipment is maintained efficiently and safely, minimizing downtime while maximizing operational uptime. The technician will also conduct inspections and perform repairs on both interior and exterior areas of the assigned properties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute preventive and corrective maintenance, and troubleshoot complex issues across various building maintenance trades, including carpentry, plumbing, locksmithing, carpet installation, and tile work.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of both the interior and exterior of buildings.
- Support project initiatives and maintain strong relationships with external vendors to ensure quality and cost-effective service delivery.
- Manage HVAC systems and related equipment, electrical distribution systems, plumbing systems, and laboratory utilities specific to the assigned facilities.
- Perform periodic inspections and audits of departmental facilities, laboratories, and utilities, addressing issues and escalating to management as needed.
- Prepare and paint walls and woodwork, including patching as necessary.
- Carry out custodial duties as required, ensuring cleanliness and safety in work areas.
- Complete preventative maintenance and repairs according to work order requirements, updating work order status in real-time through CMMS systems.
- Submit P-card receipts and ensure timely and accurate documentation.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety in disposal areas.
- Familiarize with various equipment and methods required for daily activities.
- Conduct Hazard Assessments and proactively identify safety hazards with recommendations for mitigation.
- Appropriately escalate risks across the organization.
