Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee system requirements and derived specifications, ensuring production systems align with established architectures, including the Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF) and Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA).
- Contribute to the formulation of system and functional requirements, allocating these to hardware, software, facilities, and personnel components.
- Facilitate the resolution of action items arising from Configuration Control Board (CCB) meetings, design reviews, program reviews, and test reviews through effective cross-discipline collaboration.
- Engage in Integrated Product Teams to design innovative capabilities by assessing all necessary development and operational factors.
- Assign real-time process and error budgets to systems and subsystem components.
- Develop alternative system concepts, physical architectures, and design solutions.
- Establish the methods, processes, and evaluation criteria for verifying systems, subsystems, and work products against their requirements through a documented plan.
- Create design solutions that meet system requirements and fulfill functional analysis.
- Review and provide insights on program and contract work breakdown structures, work packages, and the integrated master plan.
- Contribute to the development of engineering documentation such as System Engineering Plans, Initial Capabilities Documents, Requirements Specifications, and Interface Control Documents.
- Participate in defining interfaces, designs, and configuration changes across affected teams throughout the system lifecycle.
- Understand stakeholder needs and derive essential system functions from requirements.
- Extract detailed lower-level requirements from higher-level allocated requirements, ensuring completeness, correctness, uniqueness, unambiguity, realizability, and verifiability.
- Assist in establishing and achieving approval for the system or component definitions under development, providing a common reference for hardware and software developers.
- Develop derived requirements for Information Assurance Services, including Confidentiality, Integrity, Nonrepudiation, and Availability; Basic Information Assurance Mechanisms; and Security Mechanism Technology.
