Gerson Lehrman Group (GLG) seeks a Recruiting Associate based in Shanghai. This position supports client services for financial sector clients, including public equity, private equity, and private credit firms. Recruiting Associates play a key role in connecting clients with industry experts, arranging custom learning experiences such as phone consultations, one-on-one meetings, surveys, reports, and site visits with senior leaders and specialists.

What you will do

Recruiting Associates collaborate with teams across multiple industries, helping clients access insights from a wide range of professionals, doctors, academics, scientists, policy experts, strategists, and executives. The role offers exposure to diverse sectors while supporting client-focused projects.

Initial responsibilities

  • Expand GLG Councils by introducing the company’s value proposition and business model to industry leaders.
  • Engage daily with Council Members to assess their expertise and suitability for client requests.
  • Support senior team members throughout all stages of client engagements.
  • Learn and follow compliance policies and procedures to uphold the integrity of client interactions.

Growth and expanded responsibilities

  • Lead tailored projects for client firms, including consultations, surveys, and special initiatives.
  • Continue to expand GLG Councils.
  • Interact regularly with clients to understand their needs and deliver strong service.
  • Take ownership of client projects and ensure a high-quality client experience.
  • Partner with Business Development colleagues on revenue and account retention efforts.
  • Work with senior team members to develop engaging live and virtual event content for Greater China and other regions.
