About the job

Avōq is looking for a Research and Policy Coordinator to join its Government Relations team based in Washington, DC. This position works alongside Federal lobbyists and plays a key role in supporting research, writing, and client service for a diverse group of clients, including Fortune 100 companies, trade associations, and public interest organizations.

Role overview

The coordinator contributes to projects that help clients navigate legislative and policy matters. Daily work includes research, drafting, editing, and general support for the team’s activities.

What you will do

  • Build and maintain knowledge of Avōq’s clients and the policy issues relevant to them
  • Research legislation, public policy, and other assigned topics
  • Draft and distribute materials for clients, such as issue alerts and newsletters
  • Attend hearings and prepare summaries for clients and internal staff
  • Review and edit client memos and proposals to ensure clarity and accuracy
  • Assist with compliance tasks, fundraising activities, and client events
  • Support the team with additional tasks as needed
