About the job
At Thought Machine, we are on a mission to revolutionize banking by eliminating legacy technology from financial institutions worldwide. Our innovative core and payments technology operates seamlessly in the cloud, providing the foundation for modern banking.
With rapid growth over recent years, we now boast a team of over 550 talented individuals spread across offices in London, New York, Singapore, Sydney, and our newly launched Engineering Hub in Lisbon. Our impressive track record includes raising more than £500 million in funding, backed by prominent investors such as Molten Ventures, Eurazeo, Intesa Sanpaolo, Temasek, Nyca Partners, JPMorgan Chase Strategic Investments, and Standard Chartered Ventures.
We pride ourselves on fostering a culture that empowers our team to deliver exceptional results while enjoying the journey. Recognized for our outstanding workplace environment, we have received accolades from Sifted magazine for having one of the highest Glassdoor ratings among UK fintech companies and for offering one of the most generous employee share packages in the industry. Additionally, we have been named one of the world's most innovative fintechs by Global Finance Magazine and acknowledged by the Financial Times as one of Europe’s fastest-growing companies for two consecutive years, as well as a UK Best Employer for 2026.
Thought Machine is dedicated to building next-generation infrastructure that empowers mid-market and regional banks to compete at the highest level. Our core banking and payments platforms are renowned for their unmatched flexibility, allowing mid-market, regional, and challenger banks, as well as community banks and credit unions, to access advanced technology typically reserved for global giants. By eliminating the limitations of legacy systems, we enable these banks to innovate rapidly, launch products efficiently, and undergo the digital transformation necessary to capture market share from larger incumbents.
We are now seeking to expand our sales team with the addition of a Sales Director. This pivotal role will focus on acquiring new business from mid-market, regional, and challenger banks, institutions that are primed for swift digital transformation.
