Role Overview
As a Salesforce Pre-Sales Architect, you will function as a technical sales expert and trusted consultant in key enterprise engagements across the Salesforce ecosystem, encompassing Sales, Service, Marketing, Experience, and Data Clouds.
You will work closely with Horizontal’s sales and delivery teams to lead pre-sales initiatives, develop cross-cloud architectures, and transform business objectives into scalable Salesforce solutions that yield quantifiable results.
Your role will involve balancing 50% strategy and sales with 50% technical implementation oversight, managing and coordinating the entire solution lifecycle from pre-sale to client success.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct solution design for new business opportunities, collaborating closely with Sales to shape deals and establish Horizontal as the premier Salesforce partner.
- Convert complex business challenges into integrated Salesforce solutions (Sales, Service, Experience, Marketing, Data, Analytics, and Industry Clouds).
- Facilitate discovery and architecture workshops with executive-level stakeholders, pinpointing transformation opportunities and paths to value realization.
- Develop technical solution narratives and visual architectures for RFPs and client presentations.
- Effectively communicate Horizontal Digital’s Salesforce capabilities, offerings, and unique advantages through demonstrations, proposals, and proof-of-concepts.
- Contribute to go-to-market (GTM) initiatives and practice expansion through thought leadership and enablement regarding emerging Salesforce technologies.
- Act as a link between pre-sales and delivery, ensuring that the proposed architecture is feasible, scalable, and focused on outcomes.
- Collaborate with Technical Architects, Data Architects, and Integration teams to align solution components and mitigate risks.
- Advise clients on best practices, balancing innovation with operational reliability.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of client-facing consulting and/or pre-sales experience in the Salesforce ecosystem.
- Proficient understanding of Salesforce products and services across various clouds.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage executive stakeholders.
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience in leading technical discussions and solution design sessions.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
