Qualifications

Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Engineering. Extensive controls experience, including:Proficient understanding of PLC-based machine controls, robotics, sensor and vision applications, as well as pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical devices. Ability to read and interpret ladder logic and electrical schematics. Basic proficiency with the Allen-Bradley controls software suite. Over 5 years of experience in high-volume production assembly (both manual and automated). Experience in the development, validation, and process optimization of automated systems.

Join our dynamic team as a Senior Automation Engineer, where you will be instrumental in supporting our existing automated equipment and driving the design and implementation of innovative assembly automation solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the key liaison for the Manufacturing organization, providing expert support for automated assembly equipment.
  • Take ownership of the Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) metric in designated areas, focusing on continuous improvement and issue resolution.
  • Collaborate closely with Global Strategic Development teams to craft and deploy new assembly solutions aligned with global business initiatives.
  • Benchmark against industry standards and emerging technologies; identify best practices and areas for enhancement, devising appropriate response strategies.
  • Enhance safety and ergonomic conditions associated with automated assembly equipment.
  • Create and deliver training on Standard Operating Procedures and Progressive Maintenance Partnership documentation pertaining to site automation and equipment.
  • Propose and implement visual factory displays that align with Manufacturing and overall plant objectives.
  • Lead or engage in Continuous Improvement Events at manufacturing facilities to drive equipment and process enhancements.
  • Contribute to Product Design reviews, PFMEA, and Design for Assembly processes.
  • Formulate and implement procedures and documentation to facilitate the release of machinery and equipment, providing training to affected personnel.
  • Lead troubleshooting efforts, engaging cross-functional teams as necessary.
  • Support the Maintenance team with training, equipment maintenance planning, and troubleshooting support.
