Requirements:The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Data Science, Finance, Actuarial Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related quantitative discipline, along with a minimum of 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the role or a similar actuary-related position.

About the job

  • Conduct comprehensive data analysis and assess market conditions to pinpoint strategic product themes and objectives, facilitating rapid growth while adhering to the shared value insurance model.
  • Engage in close collaboration with executive leadership to execute actuarial analyses that guide the funding prioritization of crucial strategic initiatives in alignment with the budgeting cycle.
  • Create and sustain commercially viable pricing models for core products, ensuring that appropriate actuarial assumptions are set based on global Vitality insights.
  • Continuously monitor the performance of core products utilizing actuarial and data science methodologies, proposing changes as necessary.
  • Formulate robust joint business plans with strategic partners for various initiatives, which include comprehensive go-to-market (GTM) strategies, alongside clear KPIs, success metrics, shared accountability, and governance frameworks.
  • Produce high-quality presentations in PowerPoint and reports in Word to bolster strategic outreach efforts, including data gathering, information interpretation, storyline development, and overall presentation polish.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with key stakeholders across the organization (Sales, Marketing, Product, Analytics, Operations, and Strategic Partnerships) to collect feedback, identify new product innovation opportunities, and ensure that these innovations are well-supported by thorough research and data.
  • Remain current on US market trends, wellness developments, regulatory modifications, and innovations both within and outside the broader Discovery organization.
  • Utilize business development skills to pinpoint opportunities for co-creation of product initiatives and programs alongside strategic partners, including digital therapeutics, provider groups, hospital systems, third-party administrators, and digital health organizations.
