About the Role
As the Value Chain Strategy Lead, you will spearhead the analysis of market access value chains using the winner value chain framework. Your insights will guide organizational resource allocation decisions, assist Market Access stakeholders in strengthening value chains, and ultimately deliver substantial impacts for smallholder farmers, particularly youth and women.
Responsibilities
Value Chain Analysis
- Conduct thorough analyses of our active market access businesses to foster a shared understanding of performance and bolster investment confidence across departments.
- Lead the investigation into new market access ventures that can generate considerable demand for farmers' crops, enhance opportunities for women and youth in program countries, and support One Acre Fund's financial sustainability.
- Assist in financial analysis, including budgeting cycles and capital expenditure investment cases.
- Engage with key stakeholders across the organization to share recommendations.
Value Chain Development
- Manage a new market access pilot end-to-end, overseeing diligence, design, and delivery in collaboration with country programs, ensuring alignment with the interests of smallholder farmers and particularly youth and women.
- Support country programs in value chain development learning focused on operations, quality/technical management, and unit economics.
- Establish external expert networks to enhance market intelligence and improve execution on sales and market development.

- Utilize your analytical and entrepreneurial skills to contribute to critical projects in other market access businesses as required.
