Qualifications

A university degree or higher in a pertinent engineering or science discipline. Strong understanding of power electronics fundamentals and switch-mode power supply (SMPS) operations. Practical experience in component-level failure analysis, bench test simulations, verification, evaluation, and root cause analysis. Prior experience as an R&D Engineer, Debug Engineer, and/or Test Engineer. Ability to interpret schematic diagrams and validate findings employing engineering tools. Proficient in computing basic electronic circuits and applying knowledge accordingly. Solid comprehension of component failure mechanisms. Proficiency with testing instruments such as oscilloscopes, electronic loads, power analyzers, AC sources, and hi-pot testers. Fluency in English, both written and verbal, is essential. Capability to draft engineering reports adhering to engineering principles.

  • Collaborate closely with R&D to conduct rigorous testing and qualification of new product developments.
  • Actively coordinate with R&D teams to address and resolve product testing and design challenges.
  • Perform in-depth analysis and provide recommendations for corrective actions in the event of design failures.
  • Compile comprehensive failure analysis reports to deliver constructive feedback to suppliers and R&D for necessary interventions.
  • Systematically document, monitor, and escalate issues as needed, utilizing quality tools and methodologies.
  • Deliver engineering support throughout all testing and qualification activities in the manufacturing environment.
  • Identify root causes of failures and suggest necessary corrective actions as appropriate.
  • Propose enhancements to production processes and methodologies to drive cost reduction and improve quality in testing and manufacturing.
  • Research and identify cutting-edge technologies and techniques in power supply testing methods.
  • Design and perform experiments to validate hypotheses during failure investigations.
  • Prepare detailed failure analysis reports and present findings to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Oversee the maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment used for failure analysis.
  • Develop and implement failure analysis processes and methodologies across various production lines.
