Role Overview:

Each project presents distinct tasks, where contributors may:

  • Design innovative computational statistics challenges that reflect authentic mathematical research processes;
  • Develop problems that necessitate Python programming to resolve (utilizing libraries such as Numpy, SciPy, Sympy);
  • Ensure challenges are computationally demanding and cannot be addressed manually within practical timeframes (spanning days/weeks);
  • Construct problems that require complex reasoning in domains such as number theory, combinatorics, graph theory, and numerical analysis;
  • Base challenges on genuine research dilemmas or applicable scenarios from mathematical practices;
  • Validate solutions using Python and standard mathematical libraries;
  • Clearly document problem statements and provide verified correct solutions.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

This opportunity is suited for statistics professionals with Python expertise who are interested in part-time, non-permanent projects. Preferred qualifications include:

  • A degree in Statistics or a related field;
  • Proficiency in Python for numerical validation. Familiarity with MATLAB, R, C, SQL, Numpy, Pandas, SciPy, domain-specific libraries, or Stata can also be considered;
  • A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in applied, research, or teaching capacities;
  • Strong written English skills (C1+ level);
  • Professional certifications (e.g., CMME, SAS Certifications, CAP) and experience in international or applied projects are beneficial.
