About the job
We invite you to submit your CV in English and indicate your English language proficiency level.
Mindrift specializes in connecting talented professionals with project-based AI opportunities across leading tech companies. Our focus is on testing, evaluating, and enhancing AI systems. Please note that this is a project-based engagement rather than a permanent position.
Opportunity Overview
Contributors will engage in various tasks unique to each project, which may include:
- Creating original computational statistics problems that reflect real-world mathematical research workflows;
- Developing Python programming challenges requiring solutions (utilizing libraries such as Numpy, SciPy, Sympy);
- Ensuring problems are computationally demanding and cannot be manually resolved within reasonable timeframes (measured in days/weeks);
- Formulating problems that necessitate complex reasoning chains across topics such as number theory, combinatorics, graph theory, and numerical analysis;
- Drawing on actual research challenges or practical applications from mathematical practice;
- Validating solutions using Python and standard mathematical libraries;
- Clearly documenting problem statements and providing verified correct answers.
Qualifications We Seek
This role is ideal for statistics experts with Python experience who are open to part-time, non-permanent projects. The preferred qualifications include:
- A degree in Statistics or a related field;
- Proficiency in Python for numerical validation; familiarity with MATLAB, R, C, SQL, Numpy, Pandas, SciPy, domain-specific libraries, or other programming languages is acceptable;
- A minimum of 2 years of professional experience, including applied, research, or teaching roles;
- Strong written English proficiency (C1+);
- Professional certifications (e.g., CMME, SAS Certifications, CAP) and experience with international or applied projects are advantageous.
How the Process Works
1. Apply → 2. Pass qualifications → 3. Join a project → 4. Complete tasks → 5. Receive payment
Project Time Expectations
During active phases, tasks are estimated to require approximately 10–20 hours per week, based on specific project requirements. This is an estimate, not a guaranteed workload, applicable only while the project is active.
Compensation
Participants can earn up to $34 per hour, depending on their expertise and contribution pace. Compensation varies across projects based on their scope, complexity, and required skills. Additional projects on the platform may offer different earning levels based on specific requirements.
