The Electrical Engineer - Power Systems will conduct comprehensive electrical power systems studies and analyses for various industrial and utility clients. Utilizing industry-standard analysis software such as ETAP and SKM, the successful candidate will create study cases, analyze outcomes, and generate detailed written reports. A robust foundational knowledge of industrial and utility power systems, as well as calculation methods, is essential.
This role involves collaboration with clients and Nexus personnel to prepare various studies, including:
- System Short Circuit Studies
- Relay Coordination Studies
- Load Flow Analysis
- Power System Harmonics Analysis
- Motor Starting Studies
- Arc Flash Hazard Studies
- Relay Setting File Creation & Analysis
The Electrical Engineer - Power Systems will report to the Senior Electrical Engineer or Engineering Discipline Manager, with completed technical work submitted to senior management before client presentations.
This position may require occasional travel (2-3 times per year) of up to one week to visit client facilities for data collection along with other Nexus personnel.
