As a Strategic Account Manager at Phocas Software, you will be instrumental in fostering commercial partnerships, driving revenue growth, and ensuring alignment with executive stakeholders across our customer base. This position is ideal for a relationship-oriented professional who excels at uncovering growth prospects, steering strategic discussions, and empowering customers to extract maximum value from their investment in Phocas.
You will collaborate closely with Customer Success and cross-functional teams to translate customer engagement into measurable growth and enduring partnerships.
Our growth strategy is not solely focused on acquiring new clients but also on maximizing value within our current client accounts. Generating expansion revenue, nurturing customer advocacy, and cultivating robust executive relationships are integral to this approach.
The Strategic Account Manager plays a central role in this initiative, overseeing the commercial relationship, leveraging Customer Success insights to uncover revenue opportunities, and positioning Phocas as a trusted long-term partner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Revenue Generation: Take direct ownership of expansion revenue through upselling, cross-selling, and introducing new products.
- Customer Engagement: Forge deep executive connections to enhance retention and advocacy.
- Commercial Strategy: Transform Customer Success Qualified Leads (CSQLs) into concrete pipeline and revenue.
- Forecasting & Insights: Deliver clear forecasts and pipeline visibility for leadership.
- Cross-Department Collaboration: Partner with Customer Success, Marketing, Product, and Support to optimize customer value.
Collaborative Environment:
Reporting to the Account Management Market Lead, you will work closely with:
- Customer Success Managers to align on adoption, risk, and renewal success.
- Business Development Representatives (BDRs) and Account Executives to coordinate account strategies.
- Marketing, Product, and Support teams to address customer needs and unlock value.
This position does not have direct reports but is crucial in orchestrating internal resources to enhance customer success and growth.
