The Data Governance Analyst at AbbVie plays a pivotal, hands-on role by collaborating with our Analytics and Technology teams to provide crucial support to internal stakeholders across Australia and New Zealand. This position is entrusted with upholding the integrity, quality, and governance of AbbVie ANZ's data assets, ensuring compliance with relevant policies and regulations, and optimizing data usage to influence strategic business decisions. Acting as a vital liaison between internal teams and external data providers, the Analyst significantly shapes the sourcing, management, and protection of data within the organization.Key Responsibilities:Monitor and maintain data quality across all ANZ datasets, conducting regular health checks and quality audits, including managing an issues register to track data quality problems through to resolution.Identify and triage data quality issues as new datasets are received, ensuring prompt escalation and resolution.Analyze the root causes of recurring data quality issues and provide actionable recommendations for improvement.Oversee all ANZ metadata and data mapping files.Manage relationships and communications with third-party data suppliers (e.g., IQVIA, Cegedim), addressing data quality issues, discrepancies, and enhancements.Monitor supplier performance against service level agreements (SLAs) and escalate issues as necessary.Assist in drafting and reviewing contract clauses related to data quality standards, SLAs, data scope, refresh frequency, and issue resolution processes.Maintain comprehensive documentation of supplier agreements, data specifications, and quality benchmarks.Ensure alignment of all data sets and analytical outputs with AbbVie's global and local data governance policies.Contribute to the development and maintenance of local data governance processes and standards documentation, identifying potential data compliance risks or policy gaps.Manage user access controls across data platforms and analytical tools, including license set-up, modifications, and deactivations.Conduct regular user access reviews to ensure appropriate permissions are maintained.Oversee user license entitlements and renewals in collaboration with vendors and the IT team.Monitor usage of analytical tools and data platforms within the ANZ organization.Generate regular usage reports and statistics, offering insights into adoption, engagement, and opportunities for improved utilization.
