What You Will Do

This role involves hands-on application support at the L3 level. Responsibilities include troubleshooting production issues, making code changes in live environments, and collaborating closely with development teams to resolve incidents and manage changes.

Requirements

  • 7-10 years of application development experience, with readiness for L3 support
  • Advanced skills in Java/J2EE (REST API, Servlets, JavaScript/HTML, JSP, JDBC, Struts, Hibernate, Spring)
  • Mid to advanced experience with AWS Cloud services (EC2, Lambda, CloudWatch, IAM, S3, RDS, DynamoDB/MongoDB), especially for support
  • Familiarity with AI models in a support context
  • Advanced knowledge of multi-server environments (Tomcat, JBoss, WebSphere, WebLogic)
  • Extensive experience with databases (DB2, Oracle, Sybase, etc.)
  • Mid to advanced Unix and scripting skills (Shell, Perl)
  • Experience with job scheduler monitoring tools (Autosys, ProcMon, CronTab)
  • Proficient with IDEs such as Eclipse and NetBeans
  • Mid to advanced knowledge of version control and deployment tools (Git, Jenkins)
  • Experience with production monitoring tools (Jira, ServiceNow) and incident, problem, and change management processes
  • Ability to make and execute code changes in production (Java, Unix, DB)
  • AWS certification preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years in L3 support or similar roles
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in system and application logs
  • Solid understanding of distributed systems support
  • Excellent communication skills for technical and functional collaboration

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with cloud platforms, especially AWS
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
